night at x lounge
x lounge was on my list of places to check out in hooville, especially on a friday night while matt Steffanina would be dj'ing. (remember that name; he'll be famous someday...search him out on YouTube...he's INSANE with his dance).
it had been 15 years since i'd seen amy. she and i are so alike and have so much fun together...we picked up right where we left off.
to the rest of our party...je vous aime beaucoup!

weighing in
nope, this post isnt about weight or body fat percentages, although ive maintained while here in va. this post is me thinking visually and weighing the pros and cons of az and va.
va definitely has some pros: my 540 girlies, hooville, beautiful places for portraits (cant wait to show you some photos when i get back!), and small doses of mumsie dearest.
the cons of va are the humidity, the lack of quick ways to get anywhere, and being that close to mumsie dearest (haha).
az...i do love that dry heat over the humidity, but ooohhhh the nasty brown scenery! and the fact that todd only gets one week of paid vacation per year, never mind that he's been there like 15 years. i only go out with friends in az about twice a year...lame! i've lost count of how many times i've been out in the month i've been in va.
va rocks. az, you have some good points, like ease of getting around and mild winters, but i dont know if they really hold any weight.
yep. va rocks!
but i do miss the hub oh so very much and can't wait to get home to him and our cozy bed. one more week!

Running
A couple months ago, my personal trainer told me that doing sprints is the best way to build endurance for running distance. I thought that was pure crazy talk, so I decided to test that out. After only a few weeks of sprints, I've taken 3 minutes off my mile. Crazy, huh? I'm telling you, the boys over at LEAN know their stuff.

the elephant in the room
So, why is it that when someone decides to leave The Church, it's almost as if she's dead? I mean seriously, my Facebook comments from Church members are down to nearly non-existent. I know what people are saying, because I've heard it all before when others have left. I'm well acquainted with the speculation, attempts at justification and judgment that goes on. Well, you can turn off the microscopes, people. I don't want to be analyzed. If you want to know why I left the Church, the reason is very simple. I just don't care anymore. I simply don't. And I am happy for the first time in years! A weight has been lifted; I no longer feel like I'm being crushed. So, instead of worrying, freaking out, pondering or gossiping, just be happy that I'm happy.
I love you all!

GNO Recap - Censored Version
Unfortunately there isn't much I can write since I'm censoring. Let's just say I climbed a pole, Gillian and Donna rode the bull and yes, there indeed Marines galore. The VIP room came in handy for lots of things and we 540 girls even got a personal shout-out from our DJ friend.
Wish I could upload pics to crapstain from my phone...

T minus 18 hours til Girls' Night Out
Dinner, then clubbing...with our own private VIP room. Got my clothes all picked out, got a plan in place and I'm ready to hit Richmond. I hear there are drunken Marines at this club. Ahhh memories of my military days.
It's not an easy task blogging from my phone. Know that I love you.

virginia is thick with zombies
I tell you, there are zombies at every turn around here. The countryside is riddled with the reanimated. There are even zombie chipmunks. Bryce told me so this morning.
Fortunately, if you have the Zombie, Run! app for your Droid (and I do),you can tell where the zombies are lying in wait to eat your brains. Thank you, technology gods!
