Our Relationship is OVER!

This has been coming for a long time. Things just got way too unhealthy. It started with a little bit here and there, and then gradually built up to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Daily. Yes, seven days a week. I couldn't pass the pantry without reaching for some. My habit had grown to over 2 lbs. a week. It was definitely feeling a little crazy! It was time to say goodbye. It's been over 6 weeks since I pulled my hand outta the bag. The first week was rough--a lot of tears and gnashing of teeth. But as time went on and I held to my conviction, it got easier. I bought a bag this week for old time's sake, and haven't opened it. Actually, I had forgotten about it 'til just now. I'm feeling pretty good about that.

I have this picture on my MySpace page. It cracks me up. Todd's face is so cute and mischievous in it and my smirk says so much...to me. I didn't write this on my MySpace page, but the reason I'm smirking and Todd is laughing is because he's poking my belly fat! He teases me alllll the time about it. Couple that with the fact that this year is my 20 year high school reunion and I'm feeling a bit...shall we say, motivated. I've been working out regularly for a few weeks now, and even started going to aerobics at our ward building on M/W/F. I'm already feeling such a difference. See, Marty? I'm finally doing it!

Sandi with Posh Hair?

Right now, my hair is a few inches longer than in the picture below (which was taken at our wedding reception four years ago). I've been growing my hair out since Allie's 5th birthday (1998, so about 10 years), and I get sooooooooooo boooooored with it once in a while that I'm tempted to cut it short! I'm going through one of those bored phases right now and was wondering what I'd look like with Victoria Beckham's hair (even though I had that cut in 1998 before I started growing it out, but it wasn't blond...and I can't find any pix of it!).

I look absolutely awful with short hair! Isn't that hilarious? I didn't do too good a job PhotoShopping my face into Posh's hair, but who has time for that? It's done well enough to convince me NOT to cut my hair! ROFL!!!!!

Mmmmm Mud

Bryce has developed this habit lately of putting his face in whatever he's doing, whether it be fingerpainting (see a couple posts down), eating, bathing, or playing in MUD. This makes for a LOT of baths! It's so darn cute, though :o)

Prozac Summer

Summer drives me mad in Arizona, but only indirectly because of the insane heat. Todd is an HVAC tech, and in AZ that means winters are not overwhelmingly busy, and summer are beyond the beyonds. I normally don't feel so off kilter until late July or early August (and summer doesn't end here until November, so I still have a while to go even by that point), but it's mid-June and I'm already feeling it. Last week Todd left at 5:00 every morning and only got home once before 8:00 p.m. This morning he left at 4:00 a.m. and thought he'd get off by 2:00 p.m., but it's 5:15 p.m. now and he's still got at least 2 more hours of work (mind you, he never complains about it). He works the hours of a business owner without any of the bennies. Sucks. I miss my husband. Bryce misses his dad. Not to mention I could use a little break from our mischievous and very active 2 year old, and he could probably do with a break from me as well. Or maybe I'll just start taking Prozac and I'll be in happyland all the time, right? :oP

Oh So Busy!

I feel like I haven't posted in so long! I've been swamped with LIFE. I had to rework our Pinal Community Watch blog after our regional meeting. Blockwatch (yes, I'm the Captain, Oh Captain!) has had many issues going on that I had to deal with, work has been more abundant than usual this week (much to Bryce's dismay), and Allie and Zane have left for Virginia until July 26 (and I'm grumpy because I miss them!). And I've been recruited as a district representative for GSTAC and have been reading about it and pondering what role I will have there. Shew! I haven't even had time to bury my nose in my Einstein book...major bummer!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

From then...

Yesterday was Todd's & my fourth anniversary (we were married on 6/5/4). The last four years have been the best of my life. There's so much I could say, but I think anyone who knows me knows that I adore Todd and are probably tired of constantly hearing about it! Hehe! So, here's to four years and hopefully at least 44 more!
